Hyperbound is a completed game hack project made by Michael Iantorno as part of his thesis project at Ryerson University, using PkHack and the EarthBound game engine. It explores different ideas associated with video games, such as non-linear narratives and spacial storytelling.

You take the role of a nameless protagonist, who has woken up in a world in which he has no memory. Through your travels you must piece together your memories and attempt to reassemble your broken mind.

  • All battles are removed, game is completely text and action based
  • Game world deteriorates when player makes incorrect decisions. The game can eventually "fall apart" to the point where it is unplayable.
